DESCRIPTION:



The use of too old sealant when repairing powertrain components may cause an oil leak/high oil consumption. E.g. when resealing cam cover on 6



cylinder engines.



Always check the best before date. The product must be scrapped if the best before date is expired or is missing. Otherwise, there is a risk for



extended hardening time. The hardening will stop at temperatures



below +15 degC (59 degF), but continues when the temperature rises.



The use of too old chemical gasket may ruin an otherwise perfect job.



Photo 1 in the attachment shows the best before date, e.g. 4/13 means April 2013.

Never use chemical gasket with an expired or missing best before date.
