DESCRIPTION:

There may be a squealing noise from the front brakes while reversing and braking at low speeds on cars equipped with 16" brake system (FN3 system, disc 300mm, VDN code RE01).

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

The 16" brake caliper has been improved regarding squealing noise and introduced in production between structure week 2012w42 and 2012w48.

SERVICE:

If customer complaint/symptom is confirmed, clean brake caliper contact points shown in the attached photo and clean the brake pads.

Apply approximately 0.6 ml (one drop) of grease on each contact point indicated in the illustration.

PARTS:

Use Plastilube grease PN 31400015, 5.5 ml (100%)
